Recent Plan Additions and Updates

Its been very busy here at QuoteWright with all the travel insurance plan updates and additions that we’ve neglected our blog. The good news is our selection of plans has grown, and we now offer 12 different companies with over who knows how many plans(over 100 at least) to choose from.

New Company Alert – Medex

Lets start with our newest company – Medex – who we chose due to the fact that they are one of the most reputable travel assistance companies out there. We now offer their:

  • SafeTrip single and annual medical evacuation plans, which have an unlimited amount of coverage for evacuation. These plans are great if you already have adequate medical coverage in place and are not interested in what our Package plans have to offer.
  • Speaking of Package plans there is Medex’s TravMed Abroad, while primarily a travel medical plan it does offer trip cancellation/interruption coverage when purchased as a package.
  • And finally there is the TravMed Choice (non-US citizen plan here) travel medical plan that are competitively priced with good medical and evacuation coverage. It also comes with an optional sports rider.

Travel Insurance Services – More Cancel for Any Reason

Travel Insurance Services has recently updated their product offering and added “Cancel for Any Reason” coverage to their Select plan. The way this plan quotes for certain ages makes it a affordable choice for travelers who want broader trip cancellation coverage.

International Medical Group – Updated Patriot Plans and T.R.I.P Elite

IMG has updated their Patriot International and Patriot America plans by:

  • lowering the the premium across the board
  • including Terrorism coverage (it was an option before); and
  • Separating the sports rider into Leisure Sports and Extreme.

We have also added IMG’s T.R.I.P. Elite Package plan which has $50,000 of medical coverage and $1,000,000 of evacuation. What makes this plan unique is that it is available to travelers all over the world.

Travel Insured International Changes Underwriter to Arch

Since AIG purchased TravelGuard earlier this year, they no longer use Arch as an underwriter on some of their plans. Now all Travel Insured plans on our site are underwritten by Arch, which is good news now that all the plans we offer have at least an A- rating through AM Best.
