The Schengen visa is a short stay visa allowing travel within the Schengen area which includes 26 European Countries.  The countries include:  Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Part of the required documents is proof that the applicant have:

• a travel medical insurance covering emergency medical, hospitalisation and repatriation (including in case of death). The minimum cover should be of 30.000 EUR. This insurance must be valid for the entire Schengen area and throughout the duration of the stay.

Travel insurance policies in the USA state their benefits in US $'s.  That means that in order to qualify for Schengen Visa an applicant must have a policy with a minimum benefit that equals or exceeds the conversion requirement.  Policies that have at least $50,000 in medical coverage with no deductible and that contain repatriation coverage meet those requirements.  We have listed those policies that met or exceed those requirements.

Once you finish the online ordering an email will be sent to you with a letter that states the coverage. The letter is what you can give to the consulate or embassy to qualify for their insurance requirements.
