Emergency Medical Evacuation Coverage

Covers the transportation costs incurred when dealing with medical conditions that require extraordinary means to transport you home.

Emergency Medical Evacuation Coverage

Emergency medical evacuation provides coverage for medical transportation expenses.   These expenses result when an insured is seriously ill or injured and must be transported to a hospital.  This is to get the insured's condition stabilized and if necessary, return home.  In addition it provides "repatriation" coverage in the event the insured traveler dies while on a trip and their remains need to be returned to the USA.

Pre-existing medical condition exclusions might apply if the traveler doesn't qualify for the "waiver of pre-existing conditions".   Some plans exempt this coverage from the pre-existing conditions exclusion.  If you don't qualify for the "waiver" then you should find a plan that has that exemption.
